Cool. My rust code can now generate a static image of a sparse forest at somewhere around... 0.6 frames per second.

Okay, I'm exaggerating for comedic effect. --release puts it at ~35 fps, so it's not the worst code I've ever written.

Okay, actually plugging in a charging cable so the CPU isn't getting throttled makes it go up to 6fps without and 60fps with --release.
