I doodled a bit on how I'd build a visual programming language. And since I have a fancy new scanner, courtesy of my employer, here's a #crazyidea doodle!

More doodling on this visual programming language

@zatnosk - sounds like a good idea. When I sometimes makes a bit of programming I have to draw a lot to understand the problems...

btw. PebernĂždder sounds awfully Danish? Er du dansker?

@Katharsisdrill It's hard to design something that's both readable and buildable - that's where text have a lot of advantages.

I managed to make some progress on implementing this stuff today. No screenshots, because I left the computer, but it's beginning to look kinda cybre. đŸ€–

The implementation might be bloated already, though. First off, I'm doing it in JavaScript, and second of all, I'm repurposing a half finished game engine map editor to do the things. Which means I'm using WebGL to draw static sprites to a canvas. 😛

But hey, it works, and I did all the hard stuff ages ago. 😝

Oh, and I've decided to call the project Goblin Language, since it was derived from one of my attempts under Project Kobold (which more or less contains my sporadic efforts of game design over the years)
