Or what about subverting democracy by running multiple parties with apparently opposing goals, balancing them to achieve your plans?
Or what about convincing the populace that the family of leaders you control are Special-In-The-Eyes-Of-God and are the only ones that should be allowed to own land, everyone else being renters or serfs?
A 4X game where you don't control the nation/state directly, but you control the leader[s] and their orders/proposals.
You'll then have to navigate through different governing systems with different playstyles.
Do you try your luck as a dictator, keeping the populace happy and/or distracted so you can do what you want?
Do you install democracy and run a single party, competing against AI for control of the nation?
When it comes to communicating communist ideas I feel like it'd be more effective if instead of saying "private property" we said "remote ownership" or "ownership on paper" or "economic property" or "corporate property" or "for-profit property"
Cuz like what we mean is "you can't own a house you don't live in" "you can't own a business others work in" "You can't own land others live or work on"
And I think in the 21st century "private property" just doesn't evoke that meaning
Please be compassionate as much as possible
Even if looks that someone is okay - it doesn't mean that they really are.
They may have health issues. They may have anxiety. They may have big problems in life. It can be anything.
Try to not be aggressive and try to help as much as you can, at least by being kind.

Wat. I finally figured out how to configure WPA_supplicant on Ubuntu (16.04 LTS) and the machine now connects to the wifi. It get's an IP address and the router is aware of the machine (I can see it's unique hostname in the router config from a laptop).
But the Ubuntu machine can't/won't ping the router. My laptop is able to ping the router just fine.
What the hell is going on?

"Of all the things Mike would expect to find on a spaceship, this wasn't one of them. If Carl had surprised him, then it was nothing compared to how he felt now. Being abducted by a furry alien was like driving a bumper car, while this was backing a truck down a twisted mountain road 80 miles per hour while his pants were on fire. "
Chapter 3: Not the driest palms
@zatnosk I thought a gardening RPG would be, like, everybody's character class is farmer but you can level up proficiencies in, like, growing tomatoes or peppers or squash or at really high levels you can grow bananas in Canadian winter, or you plant something and have to roll success against a skill modifier for your seeds to germinate, or if you fail a roll then bunnies eat your carrots, and you defend your garden from local foxes or the neighbour's cat
I'm kinda into this tbh
